Schaeffler is consolidating its leading aftermarket product brands under a unified global brand identity to simplify access to its comprehensive portfolio of products, services and digital solutions. Beginning in the second quarter of 2027, the FAG, INA and LuK product brands will progressively transition towards a stronger Schaeffler brand presence across markets worldwide.

The move responds to changing requirements in the global automotive aftermarket, where increasing vehicle complexity is driving workshops and distributors to seek complete repair and maintenance solutions rather than individual components. By bringing its aftermarket portfolio together under the Schaeffler brand, the company aims to make it easier for customers to identify appropriate products, navigate its extensive offering and access integrated solutions from a single technology partner.

Vehicle Lifetime Solutions will be the first Schaeffler division to implement the unified brand approach globally. The initiative is intended to strengthen the connection between Schaeffler’s corporate identity and its aftermarket portfolio while providing workshops, distributors and repair professionals with a clearer and more consistent brand experience.

“Customers already experience Schaeffler as one technology partner. Bringing our VLS product and service portfolio together under one brand is the logical next step and reinforces our ambition to lead the future of mobility and repair,” said Jens Schueler, CEO, Vehicle Lifetime Solutions.

The first visible stage of the transition will be the introduction of a new packaging design for the FAG aftermarket portfolio from the second quarter of 2027. The new packaging will place the Schaeffler brand more prominently while retaining FAG, INA and LuK as supporting product brands. This approach is designed to preserve the recognition and trust established by the three brands over several decades while creating a stronger and more consistent Schaeffler presence.

Schaeffler will provide sales tools, training and customer communications ahead of each stage of the rollout. Advertising, brochures, digital assets and point-of-sale materials will progressively adopt a Schaeffler-focused identity, while the established product names will continue to provide product recognition.

The company will also introduce a standardised product-naming concept under the Schaeffler brand. The transition will be phased over the coming years, beginning with FAG, while product quality, specifications, part numbers, commercial agreements, business processes and online catalogues will remain unchanged. FAG, INA and LuK names will continue to appear on the respective metal components. Maik Losleben, Head of Repair and Maintenance Solutions at Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions, said the unified approach would simplify decision-making for professional mechanics and reduce communication complexity for distribution partners.

Schaeffler will preview the new aftermarket brand experience and packaging design at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026. The initiative forms part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen its aftermarket offering and provide integrated solutions throughout the vehicle lifecycle.

With around 110,000 employees and more than 250 locations across 55 countries, Schaeffler develops motion technology solutions covering electric mobility, efficient drive systems, chassis technologies and renewable energy, alongside aftermarket products and services.
