AXISCADES Technologies Limited has approved the acquisition of a majority stake in Bengaluru-based precision engineering and manufacturing company Cloud Wave Technologies Private Limited at an enterprise valuation of approximately ₹260 crore, subject to finalisation of accounts and adjustments under the definitive agreements.
The acquisition is aimed at accelerating AXISCADES’ aerospace manufacturing business by adding operational precision-manufacturing capabilities to its existing Aerospace, Defence and Electronics operations. Founded in 2014, Cloud Wave is an AS9100D-certified manufacturer with seven manufacturing units in Bengaluru. Its capabilities include precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, tooling, plastic injection moulding, 3D printing and surface treatment.
Cloud Wave serves customers in the Aerospace & Defence and Semiconductor sectors across domestic and international markets. The company has recorded steady growth and is expected to generate revenue of around ₹180 crore with an EBITDA margin of 22% in FY27.
AXISCADES said the acquisition is an important inorganic step under its Power 930 growth plan, which includes expanding its presence in aerospace manufacturing. The company is also developing a Centre for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) at Devanahalli Aerospace Park in Karnataka. The facility will cover 240,000 sq. ft. on a 20-acre campus and is being designed to consolidate and expand manufacturing operations. It will also provide the capabilities required to serve global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
KP Mohanakrishnan, Deputy CEO & President – Aerospace, AXISCADES Technologies, said the acquisition marks an important step in the company’s plans to build a larger presence in the aerospace manufacturing supply chain. He said AXISCADES intends to use its engineering and manufacturing experience to address capability and capacity gaps in India, work with existing Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers and serve global customers. The manufacturing platform will also support AXISCADES’ internal requirements in Defence and Electronics and help the company pursue domestic programmes with organisations including ADA, HAL and DRDO.
Satishkumar P, Founder and CEO, Cloud Wave Technologies, said joining AXISCADES would provide Cloud Wave with greater scale, access to a broader customer base and capital to expand its manufacturing capabilities. Cloud Wave has built its precision manufacturing business over the past decade, serving aerospace and semiconductor customers. The acquisition is expected to provide the company with an opportunity to expand these capabilities under AXISCADES.
