Tigo Energy, Inc (NASDAQ: TYGO) and Ingeteam SA have completed compatibility testing for selected Ingeteam solar inverters and Tigo Flex MLPE products, providing installers and system designers with greater flexibility when developing solar power systems. The two companies have issued a Certificate of Compatibility covering 10 Ingeteam INGECONĀ® SUN inverter models and several products from the Tigo TS4 MLPE family. The certified products include the TS4-A-O, TS4-A-S, TS4-A-F, TS4-A-2F, TS4-X-O, TS4-X-S and TS4-X-F.

The certification confirms that the specified combinations of Ingeteam inverters and Tigo MLPE products have successfully completed compatibility testing when properly designed and installed. The collaboration is aimed at supporting residential, commercial and industrial solar installations with systems that provide module-level monitoring, enhanced system flexibility and safety features.

Paolo Cigognetti, Sales Italian Director, Solar PV, BESS & H2 at Ingeteam, said the certification supports the company’s focus on providing high-quality solar solutions. ā€œSolar is a core component of our vast portfolio of energy technologies, and completing this Certification of Compatibility with Tigo is yet another milestone in our commitment to offering optimized and high-quality solutions to as many customers as possible,ā€ Mr Cigognetti said.

As solar installations expand worldwide, compatibility between different components is becoming increasingly important for installers and system designers. Certified combinations can simplify system design and provide greater confidence in the performance of integrated equipment.

The Tigo Flex MLPE platform provides module-level power electronics designed to improve energy yield, enable monitoring and provide rapid shutdown functionality. Combined with compatible Ingeteam inverters, the technology gives solar system developers additional options when configuring distributed energy systems.

Gal Bauer, Senior Director of Validation, Customer Success and Product Management at Tigo, said open technology ecosystems are important to the continued development of the solar industry. ā€œWe believe that an open technology ecosystem that allows solar installation companies and system designers to assemble just the right component mix is essential to the continued success of solar,ā€ Bauer said.

Ingeteam has approximately 3,800 employees across 15 countries and has installed around 36 GW of inverter capacity worldwide. More than 500 employees work in research and development. Founded in 2007, Tigo Energy develops hardware and software solutions for residential, commercial and utility-scale solar systems. Its portfolio includes Flex MLPE products, solar optimisers, monitoring solutions, inverters and battery storage systems.

The companies will also host a joint webinar titled ā€œBuilding Smarter Solar Systems Through Open Compatibilityā€ on September 16, 2026, from 16:00 to 17:00 CEST. The session will discuss compatibility between solar system components and approaches to designing smarter photovoltaic installations.
