Vipul Organics Limited (BSE: VIPULORG / 530627), a specialty chemicals manufacturer, has commenced commercial production at its greenfield manufacturing facility in Sayakha, Gujarat. The start of operations was marked by a formal Muhurat ceremony at the new facility.
As part of the company’s manufacturing footprint rationalisation, pigment production currently undertaken at its Tarapur facility in Maharashtra is being consolidated at Sayakha. The move is expected to strengthen manufacturing efficiency while providing additional capacity for future growth.
The Sayakha facility has been designed to support more than 3,600 tonnes per annum of pigment production. Production in the initial phase is expected to be around 1,800 tonnes. The company plans to progressively increase output in line with market demand.
Spread across 24,633.11 square metres, the facility has been developed on land acquired from the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC). It is located within Gujarat’s Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region (PCPIR). The site’s location provides access to important logistics infrastructure. It is situated along the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor and close to the proposed Dedicated Freight Corridor. Its proximity to Dahej Port is expected to support the movement of raw materials and finished products for domestic and export markets.
Sayakha is being developed as a consolidated manufacturing hub for Vipul Organics. In addition to pigment powder manufacturing, the site houses membrane manufacturing operations of AdiMem Technologies, a company unit that commenced commercial sales of reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration membranes earlier this year.
Vipul P Shah, Managing Director, Vipul Organics Limited, said, “The commencement of production at Sayakha is a defining milestone in Vipul Organics’ growth journey. This facility has been built to expand our pigment powder capacity, bring our membrane and solvent dyes capabilities under one roof, and give us a strategically located, port-adjacent base from which to serve our customers within the country and across the world.”
The company expects the new facility to support capacity expansion and revenue diversification as operations scale through FY2026-27. The commissioning comes as Vipul Organics expands its product portfolio and international presence. The company recently entered into an exclusive European distribution partnership with Omya Group for its pigment ranges. It has also commercialised indigenously developed membrane solutions through AdiMem Technologies. With the Sayakha plant now operational, Vipul Organics aims to serve its pigments, dyes and membrane businesses from an integrated manufacturing base in western India.
Vipul Organics manufactures pigments, dyestuff, lake colours and pigment intermediaries, including fast salts. The company has manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra and Gujarat and supplies products to customers across more than 45 countries. It reported standalone revenue of ₹175.40 crore for FY2025-26.
