Juniper Green Energy Limited (JGEL) has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for a 230 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Round-the-Clock (RTC) power project. The project was awarded at a tariff of ₹5.26 per unit following Juniper Green Energy’s successful bid in SECI’s e-Reverse auction held on August 6, 2026. The company emerged as the successful bidder for 230 MW under SECI’s 1,000 MW FDRE RTC renewable energy tender.

The project will be developed in Rajasthan and connected to the National Grid. It will be supported by a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SECI, providing a long-term framework for the supply of renewable electricity. The SECI tender is designed to encourage renewable power projects that can provide reliable electricity on a round-the-clock basis. Unlike conventional renewable projects that depend on solar or wind availability, FDRE projects combine renewable generation with energy storage to provide a more consistent power supply.

Juniper Green Energy will use a combination of solar, wind and battery energy storage technologies for the project. The development will add 795 MWp of solar capacity, 75 MW of wind capacity and 2,200 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity to the company’s FDRE portfolio.

The project strengthens Juniper Green Energy’s position in the growing market for firm and dispatchable renewable power. The company has been expanding its capabilities across solar, wind, hybrid renewable energy and storage projects to support India’s increasing demand for reliable clean electricity.

Juniper Green Energy has been developing renewable energy projects in India since October 2018. Its capabilities cover the complete project lifecycle, including project development, construction and operations. The company currently has an operational renewable energy capacity of approximately 2.57 GWp and 500 MWh of BESS. Its overall portfolio stands at more than 11 GWp and 6.7 GWh of BESS, including operational, under-construction, contracted and awarded projects.

The company said its integrated approach to renewable generation and storage will enable it to deliver reliable clean power while supporting India’s transition towards a lower-carbon energy system. The Rajasthan project is expected to further strengthen Juniper Green Energy’s presence in the national renewable energy market and contribute to the country’s efforts to increase the availability of dependable renewable electricity.

Juniper Green Energy Limited is an independent renewable energy power producer focused on utility-scale solar, wind, hybrid and FDRE projects. The company continues to expand its renewable portfolio while developing projects designed to meet India’s long-term energy requirements.
