KEC International Limited, a global infrastructure Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company and part of the RPG Group, reported a resilient performance for the first quarter of FY27, with revenues of ₹5,024 crore and profit after tax (PAT) of ₹73 crore. The company said it maintained revenue levels despite a challenging operating environment, while making progress on debt reduction, working capital management and order book expansion.
KEC’s order intake for the first quarter stood at ₹6,303 crore across its Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Civil, Renewables, Cables & Conductors and Transportation businesses. Its current order book along with projects where the company is the lowest bidder (L1) stands at more than ₹40,000 crore, providing strong visibility for future execution.
The company also continued to strengthen its balance sheet. Consolidated net debt, including acceptances, declined by more than ₹150 crore to ₹6,568 crore as of June 30, 2026, compared with ₹6,719 crore at the end of March 2026. Net working capital improved to 134 days from 137 days during the same period.
Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International Limited, said the company delivered a steady performance while strengthening its order book and reducing debt. He said the quarter was affected by geopolitical disruptions in the Middle East, labour shortages and controlled execution of water projects due to delayed payments.
The company expects these challenges to ease as supply chains normalise and labour availability improves. KEC said its strong order book, L1 position and large tender pipeline provide a solid base for growth in the coming quarters. The company’s tender pipeline currently exceeds ₹2 lakh crore, with opportunities across domestic and international markets. KEC expects stronger project execution and improved financial performance as operating conditions stabilise.
KEC International has operations across Power Transmission & Distribution, Civil, Transportation, Renewables, Oil & Gas Pipelines, and Cables. The company has a global footprint spanning more than 110 countries through EPC projects and supplies of towers and cables.
KEC is the flagship company of RPG Group, which has interests across infrastructure, tyres, pharmaceuticals, information technology, specialty businesses and emerging technology-led ventures. Established in 1979, RPG Enterprises has a diversified business portfolio and a turnover of around US$5.2 billion.
