Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched the TCS Autonomous Engineering Lab, powered by NVIDIA, at its Global Axis campus in Bengaluru. The new facility will help businesses develop, test and deploy artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for manufacturing, mobility and industrial operations using NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure.
The lab has been set up as a dedicated innovation centre where enterprises can move AI projects from pilot stages to full-scale implementation. It enables customers to design, simulate, validate and refine AI-powered applications before deploying them in real-world environments, helping reduce risks, improve efficiency and shorten development timelines.
The facility combines TCS’ expertise in industrial engineering with NVIDIA’s AI computing platform to support the development of intelligent products, connected factories and autonomous industrial systems. Companies will be able to prototype new solutions, evaluate performance in simulated environments and prepare them for large-scale deployment.
Sreenivasa Chakravarti, Global Head and Vice President of Industrial Autonomy and Engineering at TCS, said Bengaluru has played a key role in driving India’s technology growth and the new lab will strengthen innovation in AI-powered engineering. He said the collaboration with NVIDIA will help customers quickly convert ideas into practical industrial solutions while supporting faster and more confident enterprise-wide AI adoption.
Alvin DaCosta, Vice President, AI Consulting Partners Organization at NVIDIA, said industries are increasingly looking to deploy AI across physical operations and require advanced infrastructure to bridge the gap between simulation and real-world implementation. He said the new lab provides customers with a scalable environment to validate and deploy next-generation industrial AI applications.
The lab includes a range of AI solutions covering connected mobility, smart manufacturing and industrial automation. Among its key offerings is TCS DriveSphere, an AI-enabled connected mobility platform that supports software-defined vehicles through digital twins, real-time data analysis, predictive insights and over-the-air software management.
The centre also features AI solutions for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), autonomous driving technologies, intelligent perception systems and AI-enabled decision-making. In manufacturing, businesses can develop applications for predictive maintenance, automated quality inspection and process optimisation using AI integrated into factory equipment and production systems.
The facility also supports digital twin technology and high-fidelity simulation environments that allow organisations to test products, production lines and operational processes before implementation. Agentic AI and Vision AI capabilities further enable intelligent automation across engineering, manufacturing and service operations.
The launch marks a significant expansion of the long-standing collaboration between TCS and NVIDIA. Beyond technology integration, the partnership will focus on building advanced AI capabilities, accelerating solution development and helping enterprises adopt AI at scale across industries.
