PDS Limited has secured a multi-year sourcing partnership with the global sourcing arm of a leading French-headquartered supermarket group, strengthening its position as a global sourcing and supply chain partner for major retailers. The agreement will see PDS manage the retailer’s textile sourcing operations across Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and Turkey through its Sourcing as a Service (SaaS) platform.
The retailer is one of the world’s largest supermarket groups, serving millions of customers through an extensive network of stores across several countries. Under the new partnership, PDS will establish a dedicated operating subsidiary to deliver end-to-end sourcing and supply chain services, supporting the retailer’s strategy with a more flexible and efficient sourcing model.
The partnership is scheduled to begin on November 1 and is expected to handle apparel sourcing with an annual free-on-board (FOB) value exceeding US$250 million. The agreement further expands PDS’ portfolio of long-term partnerships with leading international retailers and highlights the company’s growing role in global apparel sourcing.
PDS will oversee the complete sourcing process, including supplier management, product development, quality assurance, production planning and supply chain coordination. The company aims to help the retailer improve sourcing efficiency, strengthen supplier relationships and respond more effectively to changing market requirements.
Pallak Seth, Executive Vice Chairman of PDS Limited, said the partnership reflects the company’s ability to deliver large-scale sourcing solutions backed by speed, operational excellence and responsible business practices. He said PDS is pleased to partner with one of the world’s leading retailers and looks forward to building a long-term relationship that benefits the retailer, its customers and manufacturing partners across the sourcing network.
