VIDA, powered by Hero, has expanded its electric scooter portfolio with the launch of the VIDA EVOOTER VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh, a new long-range variant designed to meet the evolving mobility needs of Indian riders. With this addition, the VX2 range now comprises four variants, reinforcing VIDA’s commitment to making electric mobility more accessible and practical across the country.

Priced at INR 1,43,990*, the new variant is equipped with dual removable 2.2 kWh batteries, delivering a combined battery capacity of 4.4 kWh and an IDC-certified range of 187 km on a single charge. The scooter is supplied with a first-in-segment 1 kW portable charger, enabling charging from 0 to 80 percent in 3 hours and 30 minutes. It also supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to reach 80 percent charge in just 65 minutes.

The launch coincides with a significant achievement for the brand, as the VIDA EVOOTER VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh has secured a place in the Asia Book of Records for completing the Longest Journey by an Electric Scooter. Covering 12,111 km over 52 days, the expedition began in Bengaluru and concluded in Delhi, travelling through every Kolkata Knight Riders match host city. Undertaken in partnership with rider Girish Shet, the journey demonstrated the scooter’s endurance, charging convenience and long-distance reliability under real-world riding conditions.

Designed for both daily commuting and extended travel, the VIDA EVOOTER VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh delivers a top speed of 90 km/h, powered by a 6 kW peak motor producing 26 Nm of torque. Riders can choose between Eco, Ride and Sport modes, with an additional Boost function for enhanced acceleration during overtaking.

The scooter also features a 4.3-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and over-the-air software updates. Practicality is enhanced by 27.2 litres of under-seat storage and a Combined Braking System (CBS) engineered for Indian road conditions.

Commenting on the launch, Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer, Emerging Mobility Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp, said, “The new VIDA EVOOTER VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh addresses the growing demand for extended riding range and faster charging while offering customers greater flexibility through an expanded portfolio. This launch marks another important step in accelerating the adoption of electric mobility across India.”

Supporting the ownership experience is VIDA’s network of more than 6,000 fast-charging stations and over 700 service touchpoints nationwide. The company also continues to offer Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plans, providing customers with flexible ownership options. The VIDA EVOOTER VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh will be available at authorised dealerships across India by the end of July 2026.
