German automation technology company Festo has strengthened its presence in India with the inauguration of its first Automation Experience Centre (FEC) in Noida, creating a dedicated platform for innovation, collaboration, technical training and hands-on demonstrations of advanced automation technologies. The launch marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion across Northern India’s fast-growing manufacturing corridor, where industries are accelerating investments in digitalisation, automation and smart factory solutions.

Located in Block A, Phase-II, Noida, the new facility has been designed to provide manufacturers, system integrators, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), educational institutions and technology partners with an opportunity to experience live demonstrations of factory automation, electric automation, pneumatics, motion control systems, digital engineering and Industry 4.0 technologies. The centre will enable customers to evaluate automation solutions in real-world industrial applications before implementing them in their manufacturing operations.

The inauguration coincides with Festo India’s 40th year of operations and reflects the company’s commitment to supporting India’s manufacturing transformation through advanced automation technologies. By showcasing practical use cases and application-driven solutions, the Experience Centre aims to help industries improve productivity, operational efficiency and sustainability while accelerating the adoption of smart manufacturing practices.

Frank Notz, Member of the Management Board, Sales, Festo SE, said, “The inauguration of the Festo Experience Centre in Noida reflects our commitment to remaining close to our customers and supporting their transition towards intelligent and sustainable manufacturing. By creating an environment where technology can be experienced firsthand, we are encouraging innovation, collaboration and faster adoption of future-ready automation solutions.”

Ravi Sastry, Managing Director of Festo India, said the launch of the Experience Centre is a fitting milestone as the company celebrates four decades in India. He noted that customer success remains central to Festo’s strategy and added that the facility will help industries strengthen their competitiveness through access to world-class automation technologies and expertise.

Vikas Makhija, Senior Director, Sales and Marketing, Festo India, said the centre will serve as a platform where customers can understand how integrated automation solutions generate measurable business value. Through live demonstrations, technical consultations and application-focused showcases, the company aims to help manufacturers improve efficiency, flexibility and long-term operational performance.

Ranajay Sarkar, Head of Market Management, Festo India, highlighted North India’s growing importance as a manufacturing hub and said the Noida centre will strengthen engagement with customers, OEMs, system integrators and academic institutions while supporting innovation across multiple industries.

Beyond industrial automation, the facility also features solutions from Festo Didactic, the company’s technical education division. The centre will host skill development programmes, workshops, technical training sessions and industry interactions to address the growing demand for a future-ready manufacturing workforce.

Festo said it will continue to evaluate opportunities to establish similar experience centres in other manufacturing hubs across India based on customer demand, industry growth and strategic priorities, reinforcing its long-term commitment to supporting the country’s evolving industrial landscape.
