Sony India has expanded its BRAVIA Theatre portfolio with the launch of a new range of premium home audio products designed to deliver a cinematic entertainment experience. The new line-up includes the flagship BRAVIA Theatre Trio, BRAVIA Theatre Bar 7, BRAVIA Theatre Bar 5, BRAVIA Theatre Sub 9, BRAVIA Theatre Sub 8, BRAVIA Theatre Rear 9 and BRAVIA Theatre Rear 8, strengthening Sony’s integrated home entertainment ecosystem.

The latest products are designed to complement BRAVIA televisions and combine immersive surround sound technologies with wireless connectivity, allowing users to create customised home theatre setups. Equipped with advanced audio features such as 360 Spatial Sound Mapping, Dolby Atmos and DTS support across select models, the range is aimed at consumers seeking a premium audio experience for movies, music, gaming and live sports.

Leading the portfolio is the BRAVIA Theatre Trio, Sony’s flagship wireless home theatre system developed for large-screen televisions. Featuring dedicated left, centre and right speakers, the system creates a wider soundstage and delivers clearer dialogue than conventional soundbars. When paired with compatible BRAVIA Theatre Sub and Rear speakers, the system can generate up to 24 virtual phantom speakers, creating a more expansive surround sound experience.

The BRAVIA Theatre Bar 7 features nine speaker units, including up-firing and side-firing speakers, along with Sony’s Sound Field Optimization technology to deliver immersive three-dimensional sound. The BRAVIA Theatre Bar 5 offers a 3.1-channel audio system with a wireless subwoofer, dedicated centre speaker and Voice Zoom 3 technology, designed to improve dialogue clarity while supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS formats.

To enhance low-frequency performance, Sony has introduced the BRAVIA Theatre Sub 9 and BRAVIA Theatre Sub 8 wireless subwoofers. The Sub 9 is powered by a 600W amplifier with dual opposing drivers for deep, controlled bass, while the Sub 8 delivers 300W output to provide rich low-frequency sound for home entertainment systems. Both models integrate seamlessly with compatible BRAVIA products through the BRAVIA Connect app.

The company has also introduced BRAVIA Theatre Rear 9 and Rear 8 wireless speakers, enabling users to expand surround sound performance without complex installation. Their compact wireless design offers greater flexibility while enhancing spatial audio for a more immersive viewing experience.

Sony has also unveiled BRAVIA Direct Connect, a new feature that enables compatible BRAVIA televisions to connect directly with BRAVIA subwoofers and rear speakers without requiring a soundbar. The feature allows consumers to build or expand their home theatre systems in stages, offering multiple configuration options based on individual preferences and budgets.

Commenting on the launch, Sunil Nayyar, Managing Director, Sony India, said, “The premium home entertainment segment continues to witness strong demand as consumers increasingly seek immersive viewing experiences at home. The expanded BRAVIA Theatre range reflects our commitment to delivering integrated audio-visual solutions powered by Sony’s latest sound technologies. With greater flexibility, enhanced surround sound and seamless connectivity, the new portfolio caters to a wide range of consumer needs while strengthening the BRAVIA ecosystem.”
