Dhoot Transmission Limited, a leading Indian electrical and electronics systems manufacturer, has announced a strategic partnership with Israel-based RideVision to develop and localise Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) tailored for the Indian mobility ecosystem. The collaboration marks Dhoot Transmission’s formal entry into intelligent vehicle safety and next-generation automotive electronics.
The partnership is focused on bringing globally proven ADAS technologies into India while adapting them to local road conditions, traffic environments, and vehicle usage patterns. The initiative will combine RideVision’s AI-driven collision avoidance and safety platform with Dhoot Transmission’s manufacturing scale, automotive electronics expertise, and deep OEM relationships.
The collaboration is expected to accelerate localisation of ADAS solutions in India, enabling wider adoption of advanced safety technologies across two-wheelers and four-wheelers. The solutions will focus on real-time hazard detection, rider and driver assistance, and predictive safety interventions powered by artificial intelligence and computer vision systems.
Dhoot Transmission stated that the initiative aligns with its long-term strategy to expand beyond traditional wiring harness systems into intelligent mobility solutions and integrated automotive electronics. The company aims to strengthen its position in the evolving automotive value chain, where software-driven safety systems and electronics integration are becoming central to vehicle design.
Naveen Kumar, CEO – India (Wiring Harness and Electronics), Dhoot Transmission, said the timing of the partnership is aligned with India’s rapid transition toward smart mobility. He emphasized that combining RideVision’s global ADAS capabilities with Dhoot’s understanding of Indian mobility conditions will enable the development of safety solutions specifically engineered for domestic markets. RideVision Founder and CEO Uri Lavi highlighted India’s potential as a major market for intelligent safety systems, noting that the collaboration aims to democratize access to life-saving technologies by localizing production and deployment.
In addition to the ADAS partnership, Dhoot Transmission has also undertaken strategic expansion initiatives through its subsidiary Dhoot Automotive Systems Private Limited, which recently executed a business transfer agreement with Bangalore-based Multilink. The move is intended to strengthen the company’s electronics product portfolio and enhance its capabilities in advanced automotive technologies.
Dhoot Transmission currently operates 22 manufacturing facilities globally and supplies critical electrical and electronic systems across automotive and industrial applications. The company continues to expand its offerings across ICE and EV platforms, including sensors, controllers, battery systems, and power distribution solutions, reinforcing its transition toward integrated mobility electronics.
