T-Hub, one of the world’s largest startup innovation hubs, has joined hands with Honda Digital Innovation India (HDII) to launch the Honda Innovation Challenge 1.0, a collaborative initiative aimed at accelerating the development of next-generation mobility solutions through startup partnerships. The programme has selected four startups—Xane AI, Attento Technologies, AppTestify, and SenSight Technologies—from a highly competitive pool of more than 300 applications received from India and international markets. The selected ventures will work closely with Honda’s engineering and business teams to co-create solutions focused on intelligent mobility, connected vehicle experiences, and advanced automotive technologies.
The Honda Innovation Challenge 1.0 has been structured as a 12-week co-development sprint, enabling startups to validate technologies in real-world scenarios while leveraging Honda’s domain expertise and market reach. Each startup will receive funding support of up to ₹10 lakh, alongside access to testing environments, operational insights, and deployment opportunities designed to accelerate product development and commercialization.
The initiative reflects the growing trend of global automotive companies partnering with agile technology startups to address emerging challenges in mobility. As vehicles become increasingly connected, software-driven, and customer-centric, collaboration between established manufacturers and innovation-led startups is becoming critical to delivering differentiated mobility experiences.
The programme also follows the launch of Honda Digital Innovation India, Honda’s dedicated innovation subsidiary focused on creating digital platforms and mobility solutions tailored to Indian consumers. HDII aims to strengthen customer engagement while building a connected mobility ecosystem that integrates automobiles, motorcycles, and digital services.
Speaking at the launch, Toshiaki Tanaka, Chief Operating Officer of Honda Digital Innovation India, highlighted the strategic significance of India in Honda’s innovation roadmap. He noted that the company’s objective is to better understand and address the unique expectations of Indian consumers while developing solutions that can scale globally.
Kavikrut, Chief Executive Officer of T-Hub, said the collaboration creates a valuable platform for founders building advanced mobility technologies. According to him, the programme enables startups to engage directly with a leading automotive company and accelerate the deployment of solutions addressing real-world transportation challenges.
At the launch event, Kunal Behl, Director of Honda Digital Innovation India and Vice President – Marketing and Sales at Honda Cars India Limited, presented co-development funding cheques of up to ₹10 lakh to the selected startups. The funding will be released in stages throughout the programme.
As India’s mobility ecosystem continues to evolve rapidly, initiatives such as the Honda Innovation Challenge are expected to foster deeper collaboration between startups and global enterprises, enabling the development of scalable, market-ready solutions that address the future needs of transportation and mobility.
