HSG Laser has introduced the new GT Series high-speed laser cutting machine, marking a major advancement in intelligent sheet metal fabrication technology. The company said the new system has been engineered to deliver significantly higher productivity, improved cutting precision, and faster return on investment for manufacturers operating in increasingly competitive industrial environments.
Designed for modern fabrication facilities facing rising labor costs, tighter production schedules, and growing efficiency demands, the GT Series aims to redefine high-speed laser cutting beyond conventional increases in machine power and travel speed. According to HSG Laser, the new platform focuses on achieving stable, precise, and reliable cutting performance under continuous high-speed operation. The GT Series incorporates a fully synchronized motion control system capable of delivering linkage speeds of up to 200 meters per minute.
The machine combines 2G acceleration technology with an 8Hz low-pass filtering system to minimize vibration and maintain smooth movement during rapid directional changes. HSG stated that the technology allows the machine to quickly enter stable cutting conditions while maintaining consistent performance during high-speed processing. An HSG product manager noted that the future of laser cutting depends not only on speed but also on maintaining long-term stability and cutting accuracy during intensive industrial operations.
To support precision under demanding workloads, the GT Series features a fully annealed high-rigidity machine bed structure designed to reduce deformation and vibration. The system also uses a high-brightness small-core laser source that concentrates energy into a smaller focal area, enabling faster cutting speeds and improved edge quality across medium and thin sheet applications. HSG reported that in real-world manufacturing environments, the GT Series can deliver up to 45 per cent higher cutting efficiency compared with conventional laser cutting systems operating under similar power configurations.
The company also emphasized the economic benefits of the new platform. Higher throughput, optimized cutting performance, and lower energy consumption are expected to help customers shorten equipment payback cycles by as much as 31 per cent. Reduced electricity and gas consumption per processed component may also assist manufacturers in achieving sustainability targets and improving environmental reporting standards. The GT Series is expected to support a wide range of industries, including electrical enclosure manufacturing, kitchen equipment production, energy storage systems, and general sheet metal fabrication.
