Bajel Projects Limited has secured a major order for the Bellary–Davanagere transmission line Package TL01 under a renewable energy evacuation initiative aimed at strengthening Karnataka’s power transmission network. The project forms part of a larger transmission infrastructure program designed to facilitate the evacuation and integration of additional renewable energy capacity from key solar and wind generation zones in Karnataka into the national power grid.

Under the contract, Bajel Projects will execute the construction of an approximately 70-kilometre-long second 400kV Quad Double Circuit transmission line connecting the Bellary substation to the Davanagere substation. The transmission corridor is expected to support evacuation of nearly 3 GW of renewable energy, including 2.75 GW from Bellary and 0.25 GW from Davanagere. The order further strengthens Bajel Projects’ presence in the high-voltage transmission infrastructure segment and adds to the company’s growing portfolio of 400kV and above projects across India.

Commenting on the development, Rajesh Ganesh, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bajel Projects Limited, said the order reflects growing confidence in the company’s engineering and execution capabilities within the power transmission sector. He noted that the Bellary–Davanagere transmission corridor represents a strategically important project for India’s renewable energy expansion plans, particularly for integrating renewable generation from Karnataka’s major solar and wind clusters into the national electricity network.

According to Mr Ganesh, Bajel Projects remains committed to supporting India’s clean energy transition by building large-scale transmission infrastructure that enables reliable and efficient power delivery while adhering to high standards of safety and quality. The company stated that the latest project win demonstrates its readiness to execute complex and mission-critical transmission infrastructure projects at scale, supported by strong project management capabilities and operational expertise.

Bajel Projects has steadily expanded its role in India’s power infrastructure sector over recent years, particularly in transmission and distribution engineering, procurement and construction operations. Formerly part of Bajaj Electricals Limited under its EPC business segment, Bajel Projects continues to operate with the legacy, operational systems and business values associated with the larger Bajaj Group.

The company has developed expertise across transmission line construction, substation projects and large-scale power infrastructure execution for state utilities, central government agencies and private sector clients in India and overseas markets. Industry analysts believe India’s transmission infrastructure sector is entering a significant growth phase as the country accelerates renewable energy deployment to meet its long-term climate and energy security targets.

Bajel Projects Limited operates across the power transmission and distribution value chain, offering end-to-end infrastructure solutions. The company originated from the EPC division of Bajaj Electricals Limited and continues to uphold the legacy and operational principles developed over more than two decades.

Backed by the Bajaj Group, Bajel is recognized for its disciplined project management approach and consistent focus on operational efficiency. With a growing portfolio of domestic and international projects, Bajel Projects continues to position itself as a preferred partner for utilities, government bodies, and private sector clients seeking dependable power infrastructure solutions.
