At IPTEX-GRINDEX 2026, TASA MICRO SPM Private Limited brought attention to a key shift in gear manufacturing, moving from standalone machining to integrated, high-precision, and automation-enabled production systems. Held at the Auto Cluster Exhibition Centre in Pune, the exhibition saw strong participation from the power transmission and gear manufacturing industry.

Over the three-day event, TASA MICRO engaged with manufacturers looking to address common shopfloor challenges such as maintaining tight tolerances, reducing cycle times, and managing dependency on skilled labour. The company’s showcase focused on practical solutions that directly respond to these requirements.

A key highlight this year was the introduction of two new machines designed to address precision bottlenecks and process inefficiencies in gear manufacturing. The CNC Gear Hobbing Machine with Direct Drive technology was presented as a solution to overcome inaccuracies seen in conventional gear cutting systems. By combining Direct Drive architecture with Linear Scale feedback, along with a high-rigidity structure and advanced diagnostics, the machine is designed to deliver improved motion control, thermal stability, and consistent accuracy during continuous production.

In addition, TASA MICRO introduced its CNC Helical Broaching Machine to the Indian market, marking a significant development in the company’s broaching portfolio. Designed to meet the growing demand for complex internal helical profiles, the solution enables high repeatability with reduced setup time. Its introduction reflects the increasing need among Indian manufacturers for advanced broaching technologies that can handle complexity while maintaining productivity and precision.

Beyond these new launches, the overall showcase reflected a broader approach to connected manufacturing. Visitors explored how machining, automation, and inspection systems can work together to create more stable and efficient production environments.

Automation emerged as a central theme across most interactions. With workforce availability continuing to be a concern, many manufacturers are actively looking at ways to stabilise production with minimal operator intervention. Addressing this, TASA MICRO presented automation-ready solutions under its SUAS platform, where robotic tending systems are combined with real-time production monitoring.

These systems allow manufacturers to track machine performance, production output, and process data in real time, enabling faster decision-making and better control over operations. The ability to access production insights remotely was seen as a valuable addition, especially for businesses managing multiple machines or shifts.

The exhibition also served as an important platform for the company to reconnect with the gear and power transmission community. As one of the few focused exhibitions for this sector, IPTEX-GRINDEX continues to bring together machine tool builders, component manufacturers, and technology providers under one roof.

Reflecting on the participation, Ashok Kumar Sen noted that the nature of discussions at the event is evolving, with manufacturers increasingly focused on long-term productivity, process reliability, and digital integration rather than standalone machine capabilities. TASA MICRO’s presence at IPTEX-GRINDEX 2026 highlighted a broader transition within the industry, where precision machining is being supported by automation, data, and smarter process control. As manufacturers continue to upgrade their capabilities, the focus is clearly shifting toward solutions that can deliver consistent quality, reduce manual intervention, and improve overall efficiency.
