Zelio E-Mobility, one of India’s fastest-growing electric two- and three-wheeler manufacturers, has announced an ambitious workforce expansion plan as it accelerates the next phase of its growth journey. The company intends to more than double its employee base during the current financial year, increasing its total workforce from approximately 260 employees to over 500 across its manufacturing and operational locations.

The expansion reflects Zelio’s continued focus on strengthening manufacturing capacity, enhancing product development capabilities, and supporting its rapidly growing sales and service network across the country. The company currently operates major manufacturing facilities in Hisar, Haryana; Bhubaneswar, Odisha; and Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Under the planned recruitment drive, Zelio will add around 100 employees at its Hisar facility, 50 employees in Bhubaneswar, and another 100 employees at its Coimbatore plant. The Coimbatore facility, the newest addition to the company’s manufacturing footprint, is expected to play a central role in the expansion strategy as it moves toward full-scale operations and production ramp-up.

The hiring initiative will cover a broad range of technical, operational, and leadership positions. Recruitment efforts will focus on key roles including plant heads, research and development specialists, production planning professionals, quality assurance experts, and zonal sales leaders. The company also plans to strengthen its customer support infrastructure by expanding service and after-sales teams to support its growing dealer and customer network.

Commenting on the expansion, Divyanshu Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer of Zelio E-Mobility, said the company’s growth strategy remains deeply rooted in creating employment opportunities and building strong local ecosystems wherever it operates. “People have always been at the center of our growth story. As we expand our manufacturing footprint and market presence, we are equally committed to generating meaningful employment and supporting skill development in the regions where we operate. Our objective is not only to grow our business but also to contribute to sustainable economic development through job creation and long-term opportunities,” he said.

The workforce expansion follows a year of strong financial performance for the company. During FY2025-26, Zelio reported revenue of ₹313.68 crore, representing an increase of more than 80 percent compared to the previous financial year. The company has maintained profitability since inception and has achieved significant growth over the last four years.

The announcement comes after Zelio’s successful listing on the BSE SME platform in October 2025, where it raised ₹78.34 crore through its initial public offering. The company continues to strengthen its position in India’s electric mobility market through expanding manufacturing capabilities, a growing product portfolio, and an extensive dealership network spanning more than 25 states.

Looking ahead, Zelio aims to expand its dealer network from over 400 outlets currently to more than 550 dealerships by FY27, with particular emphasis on strengthening its presence in South India and the North-Eastern region. Supported by increased production capacity, a larger workforce, and continued investments in innovation, the company is positioning itself to play a larger role in India’s rapidly evolving electric mobility landscape.
