WILO Mather and Platt Pumps aims to generate 25% of its revenue from exports in the next 2-3 years, expanding into new overseas markets. The company, part of Germany’s WILO Group, is also expecting double-digit growth in the domestic market.

The company manufactures centrifugal pumps and pumping systems for building services, water management, and industries at its facilities in Pune, Kolhapur, Kesurdi, and a small setup in Kolkata.

“Our export share has grown from 15% to 18%, and we aim to reach 25% in the next 2-3 years,” said Hemant Watve, Chairman and Managing Director. The company is targeting a revenue of Rs 1,500 crore this fiscal year, up from Rs 1,250 crore last year.

WILO exports to the Middle East, South Asia, Africa, and Latin America, and will soon start exporting to the US.

WILO SE Executive Board member Georg Waber noted that unlike other WILO factories, the Indian facilities cater to both domestic and international markets. “We use India as a source for markets in Southeast Asia, Africa, South America, and soon Europe and the US,” he said.

WILO’s Kolhapur plant produces small pumps, while the Kesurdi facility, opened last August, manufactures premium pump systems for water management.

WILO has invested around 40 million Euros in India, including 25 million Euros in the Kesurdi plant. India is among the top 5-6 countries in terms of operations and has been growing steadily, Waber added.
