Wheels India Ltd reported strong financial performance for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, driven by improved domestic demand and steady export growth across key business segments. The company achieved revenues of Rs 5,124 crore during FY26, registering a growth of 16 percent over the previous year’s revenue of Rs 4,425 crore and crossing the significant milestone of Rs 5,000 crore in annual turnover for the first time.

Net profit for FY26 increased to Rs 139 crore compared to Rs 106 crore recorded during the corresponding period of the previous financial year. The company also delivered robust fourth-quarter performance with net profit rising to Rs 52 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, compared to Rs 36 crore during the same quarter last year.

Quarterly revenues showed substantial improvement, increasing 23 percent to Rs 1,471 crore in Q4 FY26 against Rs 1,195 crore recorded during the corresponding quarter of FY25. The company attributed the strong quarterly performance to healthy domestic demand across multiple automotive segments and continued momentum in exports.

Commenting on the results, Srivats Ram, Chairman and Managing Director of Wheels India, said the fourth quarter marked a record sales period for the company. He noted that demand remained particularly strong in passenger car, truck, and tractor segments, supported by the implementation of GST 2.0 reforms. The company’s air suspension business also delivered a strong performance during the quarter, while export growth was primarily driven by increasing demand for earthmover wheels in overseas markets.

The company also reported improved consolidated financial performance. Including the contribution from its passenger car subsidiary, consolidated profit crossed the Rs 150 crore milestone during FY26. Consolidated profit for the year stood at Rs 158 crore compared to Rs 112 crore reported in the previous year, reflecting healthy operational growth across businesses.

The Board of Directors, which met in Chennai, recommended a final dividend of Rs 9.14 per share. Combined with the interim dividend of Rs 5.30 per share declared earlier during the financial year, the total dividend payout for FY26 stands at Rs 14.44 per share.

Looking ahead, the company indicated that inflationary pressures in commodities and fuel prices could create headwinds for demand growth during FY27. Srivats Ram stated that the closing months of FY26 saw the beginning of rising input and fuel costs, which may moderate demand momentum in some domestic industry segments served by the company. Despite these challenges, Wheels India plans to continue investments in capital expenditure to support long-term expansion and future growth opportunities.
