WEG has announced the signing of binding agreements to acquire Sanelec Excitation Systems, strengthening its presence in the Indian market and reinforcing its global growth strategy. Sanelec, established in 1998 and based in Bengaluru, specializes in the design and manufacture of automatic voltage regulators and excitation control systems for generators and synchronous motors used in power generation.
Sanelec has served as the exclusive partner of REIVAX, a WEG Group company, in India for several years, making the acquisition a natural extension of an established collaboration. The integration is expected to enhance REIVAX’s international footprint, improve customer support, and expand access to global markets for advanced excitation and control technologies.
The transaction is subject to standard closing conditions. Once finalized, it will further strengthen the position of WEG and REIVAX as key suppliers of reliable and innovative solutions for power generation control systems.
