Volvo Car India and ChargeZone have commissioned a 360kW ultra-fast charging facility on the Mumbai–Nashik Highway near Igatpuri at Food Hills. Equipped with a star charge power unit and dual dynamic load-balancing dispensers, the site is designed to optimise power allocation, shorten wait times and deliver faster real-world charging for Volvo EV owners and other electric vehicle users.

Located on one of Maharashtra’s busiest intercity routes, the station includes dedicated bays for Volvo EVs and supports app-based navigation and payments, enhancing convenience and reliability. The inauguration marks a key step in the partners’ plan to establish a premium, nationwide high-speed charging network.

Jyoti Malhotra, Managing Director, Volvo Car India, said the initiative reinforces the brand’s commitment to sustainable mobility by pairing luxury EV ownership with dependable charging access. Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and CEO of ChargeZone, noted that intelligent power management and high-speed infrastructure are central to enabling predictable, seamless long-distance EV travel as adoption accelerates. The launch builds on the MoU signed in 2025 to expand high-speed charging across major corridors, with additional installations planned through 2026—supporting broader EV uptake, including luxury and performance segments.
