Vikram Solar Secures 124 MW Module Supply Order for Andhra Pradesh Project

Vikram Solar Limited has secured a 124 MW solar module supply order for a project in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, strengthening its presence in India’s utility-scale solar market. Under the agreement, Vikram Solar will supply its high-efficiency G12R TOPCon solar modules for the project. The modules will have rated capacities ranging from 620 Wp to 630 Wp, with supplies scheduled to begin in October 2026.

The order comes as Vikram Solar continues to expand its manufacturing base and technology portfolio to meet growing demand from large-scale solar projects across India. The company has recently scaled up its module manufacturing capacity to 15.5 GW. The Andhra Pradesh project adds to Vikram Solar’s growing participation in India’s renewable energy sector, where developers are increasingly looking for domestic suppliers capable of providing high-efficiency modules at utility scale.

The company’s G12R TOPCon platform is designed for large solar installations requiring higher power output and improved energy generation. Vikram Solar said its expanding manufacturing footprint will support the requirements of project developers while contributing to the growth of domestic solar manufacturing.

Sameer Nagpal, Chief Executive Officer, Vikram Solar, said, “Every module supply order we secure reflects the confidence customers place in our manufacturing capabilities, technology and product quality. Solar developers are looking for partners who can support India’s expanding energy requirements with reliable and advanced solutions.” He said the G12R TOPCon platform represents the company’s focus on developing technologies suited to changing requirements in the solar sector.

“This partnership reinforces the confidence the industry continues to place in Vikram Solar as India expands its utility-scale solar infrastructure. We remain focused on strengthening our partnerships and supporting the country’s transition towards cleaner sources of energy,” he added.

India’s solar sector continues to see rising demand for high-capacity modules as renewable energy developers build larger projects and seek improved generation efficiency. The growth of domestic manufacturing has also become an important part of the country’s efforts to strengthen its renewable energy supply chain and reduce dependence on imports. Vikram Solar’s expanded manufacturing capacity is expected to help the company address increasing requirements from utility-scale projects and other solar applications.

Headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, Vikram Solar Limited is one of India’s leading solar photovoltaic module manufacturers and has an international presence across 39 countries. The company has built a pan-India distribution network comprising 119 authorized distributors and more than 750 dealers. Vikram Solar has also been recognised as a Top Performer multiple times in PVEL’s PV Module Reliability Scorecard and has featured in BloombergNEF’s Tier 1 solar PV module manufacturer list for nine consecutive quarters.
