Vertical Data Inc (OTCQB: VDTA) has announced the opening of a new office in New Delhi, marking a key step in its expansion into India’s rapidly growing artificial intelligence infrastructure market. The new location will serve as a regional base for the company’s activities in GPU financing, data centre development, and AI infrastructure deployment.

The company has initiated operations with a local leadership team comprising Ratan Kapoor and Dhanraj Misra, who will drive business development and partnerships across the region. Vertical Data plans to expand its workforce further as it scales operations in India.

The India team will focus on four primary segments: sovereign AI infrastructure initiatives, enterprise-level GPU deployments, data centre projects, and partnerships with emerging neocloud operators. The company indicated that it has already developed a strong pipeline of opportunities, working with both domestic and international cloud providers seeking access to AI hardware, financing solutions, and managed infrastructure services.

India is witnessing rapid growth in AI infrastructure demand, driven by increasing digital adoption and large-scale investments. Industry estimates suggest that the country’s data centre market, valued at approximately $8.94 billion in 2025, is expected to grow significantly over the next decade. Projections indicate a sharp rise in capacity and investment, with substantial capital being directed toward AI-driven infrastructure development.

Deven Soni, Chief Executive Officer of Vertical Data, stated that India represents a critical market for the company’s global strategy. He noted that government-led initiatives, enterprise demand, and the rise of neocloud platforms are creating a need for scalable and cost-efficient GPU infrastructure. He added that the company’s integrated approach—combining hardware procurement, financing, managed services, and data centre development—positions it to address these requirements effectively.

Ratan Kapoor, part of the India leadership team, highlighted that demand for compute capacity in India is growing faster than the availability of financing and infrastructure. He noted that the company aims to bridge this gap by building local capabilities while applying global best practices in AI infrastructure deployment.

Vertical Data operates as a platform focused on high-density data centres and GPU-based computing infrastructure. Its business model integrates financing with infrastructure ownership, enabling large-scale AI deployments for enterprises, financial institutions, and government entities.
