Laurentide Controls has been appointed the exclusive distributor of ValvTechnologies products in Eastern Canada, expanding the company’s range of severe-service valve solutions for power, mining and other heavy industrial applications. Under the new agreement, Laurentide Controls will add several ValvTechnologies product lines to its portfolio. These include V-Series metal-seated ball valves, IsoTech parallel slide gate valves and automated valve assemblies.

The products are designed for severe isolation applications where equipment must operate reliably under demanding conditions. The agreement will give customers across Eastern Canada access to valve technology and technical support for applications that require high levels of reliability, safety and durability. The new distribution arrangement will serve industries including power generation, mining, pulp and paper, petrochemicals, refining and other heavy industrial sectors.

ValvTechnologies, a Valmet company, designs and manufactures metal-seated, zero-leakage valves for severe-service applications. The company was established in 1987 and has a presence in more than 90 countries. It also has more than 25 authorised repair centres.

The company’s products are used in industrial environments where valves can face high temperatures, pressure, abrasive materials and other demanding operating conditions. Its metal-seated valve technology is designed to provide reliable isolation and long service life in such applications.

Laurentide Controls said the partnership supports its objective of providing Canadian industries with access to high-performance valve products and technical expertise. The agreement also expands Laurentide Controls’ offering for customers seeking solutions for critical isolation duties. Through its distribution role, the company will support customers in selecting suitable ValvTechnologies products for their applications and requirements.

The partnership brings together ValvTechnologies’ experience in severe-service valve design with Laurentide Controls’ industrial presence in Eastern Canada. It is expected to strengthen access to specialised valve solutions across the region. The V-Series metal-seated ball valves are part of ValvTechnologies’ portfolio for demanding isolation applications. The IsoTech parallel slide gate valves provide another option for industrial systems requiring reliable flow isolation, while automated valve assemblies are designed to support applications where remote or automatic valve operation is required.

Eastern Canada’s industrial base includes major power, mining, processing and manufacturing operations, creating demand for equipment that can operate reliably in challenging environments. The new agreement will allow Laurentide Controls to offer ValvTechnologies products across these sectors while providing customers with local access to the manufacturer’s technology and support.

The partnership is expected to create opportunities for both companies as industrial customers across Eastern Canada continue to focus on equipment reliability, operating efficiency and maintenance requirements. By expanding its severe-service valve portfolio, Laurentide Controls is strengthening its position as a supplier of industrial control and process solutions. For ValvTechnologies, the agreement provides an established distribution channel to serve customers across Eastern Canada.
