Valmet has received orders from Dow to deliver turnkey process analytical solutions for Dow’s Path2Zero project at its Fort Saskatchewan facility in Alberta, Canada. The project is designed to establish the world’s first integrated ethylene cracker and derivatives complex with net-zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions.

Dow’s Path2Zero initiative aims to set a new standard for decarbonization within the chemical industry by combining advanced technology with lower-emission operations. “Dow values its ongoing partnership with Valmet and looks forward to building on the success of previous projects to deliver reliable, safe, and cost-effective analytical solutions for Path2Zero,” said Jay Jimenez, Program Engineering and Execution Director for the project.

Valmet’s scope includes advanced analytical systems based on Valmet MAXUM II Gas Chromatographs, supporting improved efficiency, product quality, and operational safety while contributing to Dow’s emissions reduction goals. “We are pleased to continue working with Dow on this landmark project,” said Glen Irving, Vice President, Analyzer Products & Integration, Automation Solutions at Valmet. “Being selected as a program-level partner reflects our ability to deliver complex analytical solutions that support sustainability-driven investments.”
