UST has acquired Texas-based fintech company Tailwind Business Ventures, expanding its banking and financial services capabilities and strengthening its global delivery footprint. The transaction supports UST’s strategy to deepen domain expertise in digital banking while increasing its presence across North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and Europe. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Founded in 2003 as Integritas Solutions Group, Tailwind Business Ventures operates from Austin, Texas, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with additional delivery centers in Sri Lanka and Portugal. The company employs more than 220 professionals and serves banks and financial institutions across multiple geographies. Tailwind has built a strong position in core banking implementations, legacy system modernization, and digital banking platform deployment.
With demand for digital banking solutions continuing to grow, particularly among regional and mid-sized banks and credit unions, the acquisition positions UST to increase its share of implementation and managed services in this segment. Tailwind brings experience in deploying AI-enabled banking platforms, modernizing core systems, and tailoring solutions to client-specific requirements.
Tailwind also provides product and project management services, supporting financial institutions through end-to-end technology programs, from planning and design through deployment and optimization. Its delivery model emphasizes long-term client engagement and operational continuity.
UST said the integration of Tailwind’s banking expertise with its own capabilities in enterprise modernization, AI, cloud, and security will allow the combined organization to address complex transformation requirements across the banking value chain. The expanded offering is expected to support banks seeking platform consolidation, improved customer experiences, and regulatory readiness.
Commenting on the acquisition, Manu Gopinath, President of UST, said the combination strengthens the company’s ability to deliver end-to-end banking transformation, particularly in high-growth and emerging markets. Vijay Padmanabhan, Chief Financial Officer of UST, added that Tailwind’s partnerships with leading banking technology providers further enhance the value proposition for clients.
Paulo Vieira, Co-founder of Tailwind, said joining UST provides an opportunity to scale Tailwind’s delivery model globally while continuing to focus on long-term client partnerships. Tailwind will operate as part of UST’s banking and financial services business.
