TVS Motor Company has reported its strongest-ever quarterly financial performance for the first quarter of FY2026-27, driven by robust sales growth across domestic and international markets. The company posted record revenue from operations of ₹13,896 crore, up 38 per cent from ₹10,081 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Profit after tax rose 51 per cent to an all-time high of ₹1,174 crore, compared with ₹776 crore in Q1 FY26.

The company’s operating performance also improved significantly during the quarter. EBITDA increased 41 per cent to a record ₹1,779 crore, up from ₹1,260 crore a year earlier. EBITDA margin improved by 30 basis points to 12.8 per cent, compared with 12.5 per cent in the same period last year.

The quarter was marked by rising commodity prices due to global market uncertainties, which increased input costs. However, TVS Motor managed to offset part of the impact through selective price revisions, cost optimisation measures and the benefits of higher production volumes. The company also recorded its highest-ever quarterly sales. Total sales of two-wheelers and three-wheelers reached 1.63 million units, registering a growth of 28 per cent over 1.28 million units sold during the corresponding quarter of FY26.

Motorcycle sales increased 19 per cent to 0.74 million units, compared with 0.62 million units in the year-ago period. Scooter sales posted an even stronger performance, rising 36 per cent to 0.68 million units from 0.50 million units, reflecting sustained demand across urban and rural markets.

TVS Motor’s international business also delivered healthy growth. Overseas sales rose 33 per cent to 0.47 million units, compared with 0.35 million units in the first quarter of the previous financial year, highlighting the company’s growing presence in global markets.

The electric mobility business continued its rapid expansion during the quarter. Electric two-wheeler sales surged 86 per cent to 129,940 units, up from 70,060 units in the corresponding period last year. With this milestone, TVS Motor has now crossed one million electric vehicle customers, reinforcing its position as one of India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers.

The company’s three-wheeler business also maintained strong momentum. Sales grew 48 per cent to 66,697 units, compared with 44,978 units in the first quarter of FY26, supported by higher demand in both domestic and export markets. The strong financial and operational performance reflects TVS Motor’s focus on product innovation, manufacturing efficiency and expansion across key markets. The company continues to strengthen its portfolio across conventional and electric mobility while investing in advanced technologies and sustainable manufacturing practices.

Part of the TVS Group, TVS Motor Company operates four state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in India and Indonesia and serves customers in more than 90 countries. With a legacy spanning over a century, the company manufactures motorcycles, scooters and three-wheelers for domestic and international markets.
