TVS Motor Achieves Record Sales, EBITDA Margin, and Profit for FY 2024-25

TVS Motor Company has reported its highest-ever revenue for the financial year 2024-25, totaling ₹36,251 crores, marking a 14% increase from ₹31,776 crores in FY 2023-24. The company also saw an improvement in its operating EBITDA, which rose by 120 basis points to 12.3%, compared to the previous year. Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the year increased by 31%, reaching ₹3,629 crores, up from ₹2,781 crores in FY 2023-24. Profit After Tax (PAT) for FY 2024-25 stood at ₹2,711 crores, compared to ₹2,083 crores in the prior year.

In the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25, TVS Motor’s revenue from operations rose by 17%, reaching ₹9,550 crores, compared to ₹8,169 crores in Q4 of FY 2023-24. The company achieved its highest-ever quarterly operating EBITDA of ₹1,333 crores, up from ₹926 crores in Q4 of 2023-24. Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the quarter stood at ₹1,112 crores, a significant increase from ₹672 crores in Q4 of FY 2023-24.

In line with the government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, the company recognized its PLI earnings for FY 2024-25 during the quarter. TVS Motor’s operating EBITDA margin for the quarter was 14.0%. Excluding the PLI benefit from previous quarters, the margin would be 12.5%, compared to 11.3% in Q4 of the prior year.

For the full fiscal year, TVS Motor saw a 13% growth in total two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales, which reached 47.44 lakh units, up from 41.91 lakh units in FY 2023-24. Motorcycle sales grew by 10%, reaching 21.95 lakh units compared to 19.90 lakh units the previous year. Scooter sales saw a 21% increase, totaling 19.04 lakh units, up from 15.70 lakh units in FY 2023-24.

Electric vehicle sales surged by 44%, with 2.79 lakh units sold in FY 2024-25, compared to 1.94 lakh units in FY 2023-24. TVS Motor now boasts over 5 lakh electric vehicle customers. Three-wheeler sales for the year were 1.35 lakh units, down from 1.46 lakh units in FY 2023-24.

In the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25, TVS Motor’s total two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales, including exports, grew by 14%, reaching 12.16 lakh units, compared to 10.63 lakh units in Q4 of FY 2023-24. Motorcycle sales for the quarter grew by 10%, totaling 5.64 lakh units, up from 5.11 lakh units in the same quarter of the previous year. Scooter sales saw a 27% increase, reaching 5.02 lakh units, compared to 3.96 lakh units in Q4 of FY 2023-24.

Electric vehicle sales in Q4 surged by 54%, totaling 0.76 lakh units, compared to 0.49 lakh units in the same quarter of the previous year. Three-wheeler sales in Q4 increased by 21%, with 0.37 lakh units sold, compared to 0.30 lakh units in Q4 of FY 2023-24.
