Trac Precision Solutions (Trac), a subsidiary of PTC Industries Group, has unveiled a series of capital investments aimed at strengthening its role as a key partner for global aerospace and industrial gas turbine (IGT) manufacturers. The expansion enhances Trac’s ability to produce advanced turbine blades and vanes — critical components for high-performance aero-engines and power generation systems.

This initiative is central to Trac’s long-term strategy to build capacity, precision, and technological expertise. By investing in advanced manufacturing processes, the company is closing capability gaps that have traditionally limited access to specialised technologies, particularly in the production of cooling features and complex geometries for next-generation engines.

To fast-track its transformation, Trac has expanded its manufacturing infrastructure with the installation of advanced EDM systems from Sodick. These high-performance machines are designed to enhance precision, speed, and reliability in the production of turbine components that play a critical role in aero-engine and power generation applications.

The new suite includes high-volume precision systems for delivering exceptional accuracy in blade and vane manufacturing, large-format systems tailored for complex, large-scale aerospace and energy parts, and specialised wire EDM systems dedicated to tooling and electrode production. Together, these investments strengthen Trac’s capability to produce intricate geometries and advanced cooling features with greater efficiency and consistency. The company has also implemented a Modula automated storage and retrieval system, optimising manufacturing space, improving traceability, and supporting streamlined operations.

Liam Bevington, Managing Director of Trac Precision Solutions, commented: “By investing in world-class technology, we are strengthening our ability to deliver end-to-end solutions for some of the most advanced blade and vane applications. These capabilities support not only current programs but also the future generation of engine designs.”

Sachin Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director of PTC Industries, added: “Our vision is to create a globally competitive ecosystem of advanced manufacturing. The investments at Trac reflect our commitment to self-reliance in high-precision technologies, while reinforcing PTC’s position as a strategic partner for next-generation aerospace and energy programs.”

These developments mark a key milestone in Trac’s evolution into a more capable organisation, equipped to support both current and future engine programs. By combining cutting-edge technology with deep engineering expertise, Trac is building a foundation for sustainable growth and long-term leadership in precision manufacturing.

PTC Industries, with a legacy of over 60 years, is a leading Indian manufacturer of precision metal components for high-performance applications.
