Time Medical International Ventures (India) Pvt Ltd, a global leader in advanced medical imaging solutions and a subsidiary of Fischer Medical Ventures Ltd, has announced a collaboration with renowned neurosurgeon Dr Iype Cherian to co-develop an innovative MRI technology named DRIS–iMRIMedharanya. This AI-enabled, portable MRI system integrates Augmented Reality (AR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Exoscope technologies to redefine real-time intraoperative imaging and enhance neurosurgical precision.
The DRIS–iMRIMedharanya system is designed to transform the surgical experience by offering live visualization during complex neurosurgical procedures. It combines portability with advanced imaging intelligence, enabling surgeons to achieve unmatched accuracy and safety. The system also incorporates the Extradural Parasigmoid approach to the Jugular Foramen (Ex Pa JuF) — a novel surgical pathway developed for safer management of complex glomus tumours, offering improved anatomical clarity and surgical access. The collaboration emphasizes Time Medical’s mission to make cutting-edge diagnostic and surgical imaging more accessible across both emerging and developed healthcare markets.
Dr Iype Cherian, an eminent neurosurgeon and educator recognized for his pioneering microsurgical techniques and inventions, will serve as Director – Neurosciences at Time Medical India. In this role, he will lead the clinical innovation and neuroimaging strategy for the DRIS–iMRIMedharanya project.
