Teledyne e2v is at the forefront of driving advancements across various sectors including healthcare, life sciences, space exploration, transportation, defense, security, and industrial applications. A cornerstone of Teledyne e2v’s methodology is its proactive engagement with market dynamics and the specific challenges faced by its diverse clientele.
Teledyne e2v develops and delivers cutting-edge imaging solutions tailored to their unique requirements, whether it be standardized offerings, semi-customized configurations, or entirely bespoke systems. This approach not only enhances the performance and capabilities of client systems but also amplifies the overall value proposition.
Tailored meticulously for 3D laser profiling/displacement tasks and high-speed, high-resolution inspections, the Flash family of CMOS image sensors has garnered acclaim for its precision and versatility. The Flash 2K LSA, a variant of the widely favored Flash 2K sensor, addresses the unique requirements of applications necessitating large Scheimpflug angles.
Notably, its angular response has been amplified by over four times for 30° angles and more than seven times for 40° angles, substantially enhancing image quality. Moreover, this sensor facilitates optimal harnessing of the laser line’s power at the system level when accommodating large Scheimpflug angles.
Sharing the esteemed 6 µm CMOS global shutter pixel with its Flash counterparts, the Flash 2K LSA seamlessly blends high resolution with swift frame rates, ensuring superior performance across diverse applications. In addition to its remarkable imaging capabilities, the Flash 2K LSA boasts an array of application-based features, including HDR modes offering up to 100 dB, multiple Regions of Interest, and frame-to-frame on-the-fly adjustments.
Yoann Lochardet, Teledyne e2v’s Marketing Manager for 3D, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce this enhanced version of the Flash 2K, meticulously designed to facilitate seamless and cost-effective integration. By providing a camera portfolio catering to all Scheimpflug angles utilizing the same CMOS sensor across all versions, we aim to minimize camera redesign efforts and streamline the supply chain.”
Furthermore, the Flash series is available in various configurations, including 2K (2K x 1K, 1,500 fps full frame) and 4K (4K x 1K, 1,800 fps full frame), with or without standard micro-lenses, and can be combined with or without a glass lid, offering unparalleled flexibility to meet diverse application needs.
