This innovative and cost-effective GigE line scan camera offers 8k resolution images with a significantly reduced camera body size, meeting performance levels that typically require much larger equipment.
Compact and Efficient Design
The Linea Lite 8k Super Resolution camera is designed for a broad spectrum of machine vision applications. It boasts a 45% smaller footprint compared to the original Linea model, leveraging Teledyne’s proprietary multiline CMOS image sensor technology. This cutting-edge camera utilizes two 4k/7 μm pixel rows with pixel offset. By capturing data from two 4k/7 μm images simultaneously and reconstructing them in real time, the camera achieves an impressive super resolution image of 8k/3.5 μm. This process significantly enhances the signal-to-noise ratio and improves the detectability of subpixel defects.
Teledyne DALSA’s patented technology enables the use of 4k/7 μm lenses and lighting without compromising responsivity and Modulation Transfer Function (MTF), due to the smaller pixel size. The camera is compatible with standard M-42 lenses, offering substantial savings on the total system cost.
High Performance and Versatility
The Linea Lite 8k Super Resolution camera integrates seamlessly with Teledyne’s Sapera™ LT software, delivering data throughput at twice the bandwidth of a standard GigE interface. This setup provides 25 kHz at full 8k resolution, translating to 205 MB/sec. For even greater speed, Teledyne’s award-winning TurboDrive™ technology can push beyond the gigabit Ethernet speed ceiling. Additionally, the Super Resolution technology significantly boosts the speed of inspection systems, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) enables a single cable to manage both data connection and power supply.
