The 9th edition of Techtextil India has officially commenced at the Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC), Mumbai, bringing together over 160 industry players showcasing more than 200 brands. This prestigious event features a diverse array of cutting-edge products and technological solutions, complemented by a series of knowledge sessions, live product demonstrations, and ample networking opportunities.
The technical textiles sector in India is experiencing rapid growth, driven by continuous research and development efforts and supported by various government initiatives and the expansion of various industries. Inaugurating the event, Smt. Darshana Jardosh, Minister of State for Railways and Textiles, Government of India, emphasized the need for India to become self-reliant in research, development, and innovation, reducing dependence on high-performance fiber imports. She highlighted the role of professional platforms like Techtextil India in fostering industry growth by providing insights into global and domestic trends, products, and innovations across textile value chains.
Techtextil India 2023 was inaugurated by a distinguished panel, including Shri. Rajeev Saxena, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, and other key industry figures. The event enjoys significant support from the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and various associations, underscoring the sector’s importance in the country’s economy.
The exhibition features a wide range of exhibitors presenting machinery, equipment, accessories, fibers, yarns, non-wovens, filtration, masterbatches, functional textiles, composites, coated textiles, and more. Renowned Indian companies such as Arvind Limited, Park Non-woven, Sarex Chemicals, Welspun, Reliance, and Aditya Birla Yarns are participating alongside international players from China, Taiwan, South Korea, Germany, Italy, and the USA.

The event also includes the Techtextil Symposium, addressing critical topics in the industry, and the 3rd edition of MEDITEX TM, focusing on medical textiles.
