Tata Power Renewables, a key player in India’s renewable energy sector and a subsidiary of Tata Power, has launched its flagship ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ initiative in Pune, Maharashtra. The campaign aims to speed up the use of rooftop solar systems in homes by providing reliable, affordable, and accessible solar solutions backed by trusted service.

During the campaign launch on Independence Day, Tata Power Solaroof introduced a special offer exclusively for Maharashtra residents. Highlights include a symbolic ownership cost of ₹1,947—representing India’s year of Independence—easy loan options covering nearly the entire system cost, affordable monthly payments starting at ₹2,369 for a 2 kWp system, flexible repayment periods up to 60 months, quick digital loan approvals, and a complimentary one-year solar insurance plan from TATA AIG for residential customers.

Under the government’s PM Surya Ghar Yojana, households qualify for central subsidies up to ₹78,000 depending on system size, with ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 per kW for the next 1 kW. To make financing smoother, Tata Power Solaroof has partnered with 15 major banks including SBI, Bank of India, Canara Bank, and Union Bank to offer loan options tailored to residential buyers.

By July 2025, Tata Power Solaroof has installed 775 MW of rooftop solar capacity across Maharashtra, serving nearly 28,000 customers. The company aims to add another 800 MW over the next three years. In Pune alone, where Tata Power already has 200 MW installed, plans are in place to expand capacity by 250 MW during the same period, underlining its dedication to promoting clean energy adoption in the state.

To further support growth, the company plans to onboard 1,000 new channel partners and retailers in Maharashtra within three years to strengthen its distribution network. Tata Power Solaroof continues to provide customers with complete rooftop solar solutions featuring high-performance solar panels backed by a 25-year warranty, government subsidies, flexible financing, insurance, and dedicated after-sales support. A mass awareness campaign will be rolled out to highlight the benefits of rooftop solar, ease of installation, ongoing service, and product reliability.

To meet evolving consumer needs, Tata Power Solaroof also introduced two new lifestyle-focused products: MySine, a compact solar plus battery backup system ensuring uninterrupted power, and Solar Design Spaces, a curated collection of 25 stylish rooftop designs that combine sustainability with aesthetics. Both products are available under the Independence Day special scheme.

For over a decade, Tata Power Solaroof has been India’s leading rooftop solar provider, offering a full range of benefits including quality assurance, extensive service coverage in more than 450 districts, lifetime customer support, easy financing, and system insurance. With strong financing options, nationwide reach, and continuous innovations, Tata Power is making clean energy accessible to every Indian household, empowering more homes to go solar.
