Renewable energy solutions provider Suzlon Group announced on Wednesday that it has secured new orders to develop 402 MW wind energy projects from Juniper Green Energy. This significant deal includes the installation of 134 wind turbine generators (WTGs) featuring Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) towers, each with a rated capacity of 3 MW.
These projects will be located at Suzlon’s proposed site in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan. As part of the agreement, Suzlon will be responsible for supplying the wind turbines and executing the project, including foundation, erection, and commissioning. Additionally, Suzlon will provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services post-commissioning.
“Juniper Green Energy has been a long-term, repeat customer for us, and we are delighted to partner with them again. This order helps us expand our footprint in Rajasthan,” said Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, in a statement. He added that the electricity generated from these projects will support the Rajasthan government’s vision of serving the state’s population with green energy.
Naresh Mansukhani, Chief Executive Officer of Juniper Green Energy Private Ltd, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration, stating, “Suzlon’s unmatched technology and comprehensive EPC capabilities help us fulfill our vision of building a sustainable India through cost-effective, Made in India renewable energy solutions.”
The projects will be implemented under the Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Hybrid and Merchant schemes. With this capacity, the generated power can supply electricity to approximately 3.31 lakh households and is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 13.07 lakh tonnes annually.
This new order underscores Suzlon’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy footprint and contributing to India’s green energy goals. The partnership with Juniper Green Energy exemplifies the growing demand for sustainable and efficient energy solutions in the country.
