Sunsure Energy has entered into a long-term power purchase agreement with JAKSON Engineering Limited, a part of the JAKSON Group, to supply solar energy to its facilities in Uttar Pradesh. The agreement will see Sunsure deliver approximately 7.28 million units of solar power annually to JAKSON’s corporate office in Noida and its manufacturing unit in Greater Noida, supporting a significant shift toward renewable energy in the company’s operations.

The project, with a capacity of 4.7 MWp, is expected to replace a substantial portion of conventional power usage. It will offset nearly 80 percent of electricity consumption at the corporate office and up to 40 percent at the manufacturing facility. The transition is projected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 5.2 million kilograms each year, equivalent to the environmental benefit of planting more than 230,000 trees.

JAKSON Group stated that the partnership reflects its ongoing commitment to integrating sustainable practices across its operations. The agreement also aligns with broader national efforts to accelerate renewable energy adoption and reduce dependence on traditional power sources.

Sunsure Energy noted that industrial participation is a critical driver of India’s clean energy transition. Collaborations of this nature demonstrate a growing shift within the private sector toward adopting renewable power as a core operational requirement rather than a supplementary initiative.

The agreement also contributes to Sunsure Energy’s ‘UP Shakti’ initiative, which focuses on enabling industrial decarbonisation across Uttar Pradesh. The company provides round-the-clock renewable energy solutions to commercial and industrial clients across multiple sectors, including manufacturing, infrastructure, and heavy industry.

Founded in 2014, Sunsure Energy operates as an independent power producer, offering long-term renewable energy solutions through a combination of solar, wind, and energy storage systems. The company currently manages 700 MW of operational assets and has over 7 GW under development across several Indian states, with a long-term target of reaching 10 GW of capacity by 2030.

JAKSON Group, established in 1947, has evolved into a diversified energy and infrastructure company with capabilities spanning distributed energy, solar solutions, alternative fuels, and energy storage systems. With a nationwide presence supported by multiple manufacturing facilities, sales offices, and international operations, the group serves a wide customer base across industries.
