Sunita Tools Limited has expanded its CNC machining capacity at subsidiary Sunita Leoquip Aerospace Private Limited by adding two new high-precision turning machines. The investment comes as demand and the order book at the subsidiary continue to improve.

The company said its consolidated Net Sales Value for the four months ended July 31, 2026, stood at ₹31.95 crore. The performance includes the contribution from its legacy operations and subsidiary businesses. Growth during the period was supported by investments made in the legacy business over the past year, along with an improved product mix.

The new CNC machines have been manufactured by Yantarang CNC Machines India and are designed for high-precision and versatile machining applications. The equipment can be used across precision engineering as well as demanding aerospace applications.

Sunita Tools said the additional capacity will help Sunita Leoquip meet rising customer requirements and strengthen its ability to undertake a wider range of machining work. The subsidiary has been witnessing consistent demand and has built a healthy order book, leading the company to increase its machining capacity.

The company has also acquired a 90% stake in a capital goods manufacturing company that complements its existing business. The acquisition is expected to provide forward integration opportunities and broaden the Group’s product portfolio. As of July 31, 2026, Sunita Tools’ consolidated order book stood at ₹576 crore. The Defence business accounted for ₹552 crore, while the legacy business contributed ₹14 crore and other businesses accounted for ₹10 crore.

Commenting on the development, Sanjay Pandey, Chairman and Whole Time Director, Sunita Tools Limited, said the company’s recent performance reflects the benefits of its investments in the legacy business and the improvement in product mix. He said the subsidiary businesses are also progressing in line with the company’s growth plans. Mr Pandey added that the two new CNC machines have been introduced to address growing demand, while the acquisition of a 90% stake in a complementary capital goods manufacturing company is expected to strengthen the Group’s product mix.

Sunita Tools has more than four decades of experience in the engineering and mould base industry. Its product portfolio includes ground plates, mould bases and precision CNC machining solutions serving automotive, pharmaceutical, electronics, consumer goods, aerospace and defence industries.

The company also manufactures and supplies components and products including aerospace parts, empty artillery shells of various calibres and grease cartridges. Its operations focus on customised manufacturing, quality control, technical support and application-specific engineering.

With increased CNC capacity, a growing defence order book and the addition of a complementary capital goods business, Sunita Tools is focused on strengthening its manufacturing capabilities and expanding its presence across high-value engineering and industrial markets.
