Sunita Tools Limited has achieved a significant milestone in its defence manufacturing initiatives with the successful delivery of prototype samples and approved testing documentation for NATO-standard 155mm M107 artillery shells under an interim sales agreement with an international customer. The delivery represents the first phase of a broader supply arrangement and reflects the company’s growing capabilities in precision engineering and defence manufacturing. While the prototypes had been completed earlier, logistical disruptions across global shipping channels delayed the final dispatch. The company has now fulfilled the initial requirement by delivering the samples in accordance with agreed quality and technical specifications.

The development marks another step in Sunita Tools’ diversification strategy as it expands beyond its traditional engineering and mould base operations into aerospace and defence-related opportunities. The company has been investing in advanced manufacturing capabilities to address emerging demand in high-precision industrial sectors.

In addition to progress in its defence initiatives, Sunita Tools reported positive developments from its US-based business interests. NMI, a company in which Sunita Defence Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sunita Tools, holds a majority stake, has secured a new order valued at approximately US$97,632 from a leading supply chain organization. NMI has also been approved as a vendor by Southern States Cooperative, one of the largest agricultural cooperatives in the United States. The cooperative serves more than 300,000 farmer members and operates through an extensive network of retail outlets across multiple states. Management expects this approval to create additional business opportunities and contribute meaningfully to future order growth beginning in the coming months.

Meanwhile, the company’s core engineering business has entered the new financial year with a strong order pipeline and healthy demand across key customer segments. Existing orders for June and July indicate continued momentum across its legacy manufacturing operations.

As part of its ongoing commitment to corporate governance and operational excellence, Sunita Tools is also evaluating proposals from leading professional advisory firms to conduct a comprehensive organizational due diligence review. The initiative is intended to strengthen governance practices, improve operational transparency and support future growth plans.

Commenting on the developments, Chairman and Whole-Time Director Sanjay Pandey stated that the successful delivery of the NATO-standard artillery shell prototypes reflects the company’s ability to meet stringent quality and delivery requirements. He also noted that both the US  business expansion and the company’s traditional operations are progressing in line with expectations.

Sunita Tools’ strength lies in its ability to offer tailored, high-quality solutions supported by technical expertise throughout the design and manufacturing lifecycle. The company also provides comprehensive after-sales support, ensuring long-term reliability and customer satisfaction.
