Sundaram Multi Pap Limited has announced the successful installation and commissioning of a fully automatic notebook manufacturing machine at its production unit in Palghar, Maharashtra. The newly deployed system is now fully operational and marks a key milestone in the company’s efforts to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities.

The advanced machine, supplied by Line-O-Matic, represents an investment of over ₹30 million. The addition is part of Sundaram’s broader plan to upgrade its production infrastructure, improve efficiency, and support growing demand across its markets.

With automation at its core, the new line is expected to significantly increase output while reducing dependence on manual processes. The company anticipates notable gains in cost efficiency, driven by lower labour requirements and streamlined operations. The system is also designed to deliver improved product quality and uniformity, supporting the brand’s focus on consistency across its stationery range.

Company officials indicated that the installation will contribute to stronger operating margins and provide the flexibility required to scale production in line with market demand. The move reflects a continued focus on adopting modern manufacturing practices to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving industry.

Yash Shah, Chief Operating Officer, stated that the commissioning of the new machine strengthens the company’s production backbone. He noted that the enhanced automation will help reduce turnaround times, improve overall efficiency, and enable the company to cater to increasing customer requirements with better quality output.

The machine, installed a few months ago, has now reached optimal performance levels and is operating at full capacity. Its successful integration into the existing production setup highlights the company’s ability to adopt new technologies without disrupting ongoing operations.

Looking ahead, Sundaram Multi Pap plans to further expand its manufacturing base by introducing additional automated lines over the coming quarters. These investments are expected to drive higher production volumes while maintaining cost discipline.

Established in 1995, Sundaram Multi Pap Limited has built a strong presence in the Indian stationery market, particularly in Maharashtra and Gujarat. The company offers a wide portfolio of products, including notebooks, drawing books, scrapbooks, and office supplies, known for their paper quality, durability, and design.
