Stryker a leading global medical technology company, has opened a new research and development center in Whitefield, Bengaluru. The 140,000-square-foot facility adds to the company’s existing 220,000-square-foot R&D campus in Gurgaon, reinforcing its long-term commitment to India as a strategic hub for innovation and engineering.

The new center integrates cross-disciplinary teams and advanced laboratory infrastructure to support development in robotics, artificial intelligence, digital health solutions, and product security. It is designed to accelerate product development and enable closer collaboration between engineers and healthcare professionals.

As part of this expansion, a dedicated medical experience center has been introduced to demonstrate critical care and emergency response technologies—including ICU beds, transport stretchers, ambulance cots, and automated external defibrillators (AEDs). The center aims to enhance engagement with clinicians and healthcare systems.

“We are expanding with intention—enhancing our ability to innovate and collaborate in ways that meet the evolving needs of patients and healthcare providers,” said Ram Rangarajan, Vice President of the Stryker Global Technology Center. “This facility is equipped to attract top talent, enable deep technical work in emerging technologies, and accelerate our development efforts.” Stryker’s growing presence in India reflects its broader strategy to invest in high-potential innovation ecosystems and access world-class engineering and R&D talent.

Stryker is a global medical technology company offering products and services across Medical and Surgical, Neurotechnology, and Orthopaedics. The company supports healthcare systems in delivering improved patient outcomes and impacts more than 150 million patients each year worldwide.
