STL (NSE: STLTECH), a leading provider of optical and digital solutions, has successfully completed the demerger of its Global Services Business. The business will now operate under a new entity, STL Networks, and rebrand itself as ‘Invenia.’ This strategic move creates two distinct and specialized companies, each positioned for rapid growth and innovation.

The demerged STL Networks has delivered significant value to its customers over the past decade, establishing itself as a leader in building large-scale IT infrastructure-led digital ecosystems. Its contributions to India’s digital growth, including the deployment of over 135,000 km of Optical Fibre across 23 states, have solidified its role as a key player in the country’s digital transformation. The company has also made considerable advancements in the UK, reinforcing its international presence.

This demerger aligns with STL’s long-term vision to create two agile and specialized entities, allowing both STL and STL Networks to focus on their distinct customer segments. The separation is expected to increase growth potential, enhance operational efficiency, and provide greater value to investors. Leadership teams with proven expertise will guide both companies through this transition. Rahul Puri will continue as CEO of the Optical Networking Business at STL, while Pankaj Malik will lead STL Networks as its CEO.

With over 10 manufacturing plants across the globe and a customer base in more than 100 countries, STL is positioned to lead the next generation of digital infrastructure innovation. The company will continue to drive advancements in Optical Networking, Connectivity, Data Centres, and Enterprise Solutions, with products such as Optical Fibre, Fibre Cable, and Optical Connectivity. STL’s focus remains on setting new standards in the industry and powering the connected ecosystems of tomorrow.

STL Networks, now under the ‘Invenia’ brand, will enhance its portfolio of global digital infrastructure services, catering to enterprises, telecom companies, cloud providers, governments, and defense sectors. Post-demerger, STL Networks will take over the recently awarded INR ~2600 Cr Bharatnet project in Jammu and Kashmir, further expanding its presence in large-scale digital deployments.

Ankit Agarwal, Managing Director of STL, shared, “The completion of this demerger is a milestone in our strategic journey. This move allows STL and STL Networks to operate with greater focus and agility, delivering exceptional value to stakeholders. STL remains committed to leading in optical solutions, while STL Networks is well-positioned to redefine global services and drive sustainable growth and profitability for both entities.”

STL Networks, as Invenia, will continue to offer cutting-edge digital infrastructure and IT services, helping clients in telecom, cloud, government, and defense sectors build and manage future-ready digital landscapes. Meanwhile, STL will maintain its leadership in advanced optical and digital solutions, crucial for the development of 5G, Rural, FTTx, Enterprise, and Data Centre networks worldwide.
