Sterling Green Power Solutions (SGPS), part of the Sterling & Wilson Group, has expanded its manufacturing capacity with the inauguration of a new facility at Talegaon MIDC near Pune. The facility is the company’s second manufacturing unit and is aimed at meeting growing demand for low-horsepower (LHP) diesel generator sets across commercial, industrial and retail markets.
The Talegaon facility is part of SGPS’s multi-location manufacturing expansion plan. The company is also preparing to establish a new manufacturing plant at Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah, UAE, with construction work expected to begin shortly. Another facility is planned at Chakan MIDC, Maharashtra. The expansion programme is intended to increase production capacity, improve customer reach and strengthen SGPS’s manufacturing capabilities across key markets.
The new Talegaon plant will manufacture diesel generator sets ranging from 100 kVA to 750 kVA. The products will serve a wide range of applications across rental services, hospitality, healthcare, education, government and industrial sectors. The facility is designed to produce around 1,000 units annually, primarily for retail customers.
