Stefan Zecha, was elected as the Chairman of the German Machine Tools Association, VDMA Precision Tools Association at its general meeting at Tegernsee. Stefan Zecha is the owner of Zecha Hartmetall- Werkzeugfabrikation GmbH, and the Director of Zecha Precision Tools Limited, India. ZECHA Hartmetall-Werkzeugfabrikation GmbH is a family run company with over 130 employees. Gerhard Knienieder, Managing Director of EMUGE-Werk Richard Glimpel GmbH & Co KG from Lauf, became Deputy Chairman of VDMA.
On his new role as the Chairman, Stefan Zecha stated that he will be working towards strengthening smaller and medium-sized companies. In his first address as the Chairman, Stefan Zecha first acknowledged the great commitment of his predecessor at the association Mr. Lothar Horn, Managing Director of Hartmetall-Werkzeugfabrik Paul Horn GmbH, who served the industry in three terms since 2009.
“I come from a typical family-run medium-sized company and am looking forward to the opportunities that the position of Chairman entails”, spoke Mr. Zecha addressing VDMA Präzisionswerkzeuge members. He also stressed his focus on strengthening the small and medium-sized companies in the sector. The VDMA Präzisionswerkzeuge represents about 180 companies of the medium-sized manufacturers of cutting tools, clamping technology, press tools, fixtures, standard parts, and moulds.
