Smarten Power Systems, an Indian manufacturer of power backup and solar energy solutions, has reported strong operational growth for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27). The company sold nearly 1.18 lakh units during the quarter, expanded its distribution network with 32 new distributors across nine states, strengthened its manufacturing capabilities and introduced new products to meet rising demand for reliable power and clean energy solutions.

Demand during the quarter was driven by increased sales of home UPS systems, solar power conditioning units (PCUs), batteries and solar panels. Higher summer temperatures and rising electricity consumption across several parts of northern India also contributed to increased demand for power backup products.

To improve inventory management and ensure faster deliveries during the peak season, Smarten commissioned a new 5,200-square-foot warehouse in Gurugram, Haryana. The facility is expected to strengthen the company’s warehousing and logistics operations while improving product availability across northern and north-western markets.

The company also continued to widen its market reach by appointing 32 new distributors across nine states. This expansion further strengthens Smarten’s presence across North, East, West and South India and supports its strategy of improving customer access to its products through a larger distribution network.

During the quarter, Smarten introduced the HELIX 1100-1250 series, a new range of Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)-based solar power conditioning units. The company also launched two new battery models to expand its energy storage portfolio and meet the growing demand for efficient solar and backup power solutions.

Commenting on the company’s performance, Rajnish Sharma, Whole-Time Director and Chief Executive Officer of Smarten Power Systems, said the demand for power backup and solar solutions continues to grow as consumers increasingly focus on energy security and renewable energy adoption. He said the company remained focused on strengthening its manufacturing, distribution and service capabilities to support this demand while improving product availability and customer service across its markets.

On the manufacturing front, Smarten achieved its highest-ever monthly in-house battery production during June 2026, producing around 6,600 battery units at its manufacturing facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. The company is also progressing with the development of a new manufacturing facility, which is expected to further enhance production capacity after commissioning.

Smarten also expanded its in-house after-sales service operations during the quarter while continuing to support customers through its network of franchise service centres. The company said it remains committed to improving operational efficiency, expanding its product portfolio and strengthening customer support as demand for power backup and solar solutions continues to grow.

Smarten Power Systems designs, assembles and supplies power backup and solar energy products for residential and commercial customers. Its portfolio includes home UPS systems, solar inverters, solar power conditioning units, solar charge controllers, batteries and solar panels. The company operates across 23 states and three Union Territories in India and exports its products, excluding solar panels, to more than 17 countries across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. Through continued investment in manufacturing, research and product development, Smarten aims to support the growing adoption of renewable energy and reliable power solutions in India and overseas.
