SLB (NYSE: SLB), a global leader in energy technology, announced that its joint venture, SLB OneSubsea™, has been awarded two substantial engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts by PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP). These contracts mark the continuation of a 20-year partnership and will support the development and expansion of multiple offshore fields in Malaysia.

Under the agreements, SLB OneSubsea will supply comprehensive subsea production systems (SPS) for the Alum, Bemban, and Permai deepwater gas fields in Block H, as well as the Kikeh field, Malaysia’s first deepwater oil project. The scope of work includes the delivery of horizontal subsea trees, umbilicals, control systems, and related services to enhance production efficiency and field performance.

“We are honored to continue our long-term collaboration with PTTEP, which has resulted in over 50 successful system deliveries over the past two decades,” said Mads Hjelmeland, Chief Executive Officer of SLB OneSubsea. “Through early client engagement and our deepwater expertise, we aim to help PTTEP extract the full potential from these projects while ensuring safe, sustainable operations.”

The Block H gas project began producing from the Rotan and Buluh fields in 2021, while the Kikeh oil and gas field has been operational since 2007. Both developments are located in water depths ranging from 1,100 to 1,300 meters. SLB OneSubsea’s proven technology and operational experience in challenging deepwater conditions will support extended field life, contributing to regional energy stability and supply reliability.
