Skild AI has announced the acquisition of the Robotics Automation business of Zebra Technologies, including its Symmetry Fulfillment orchestration platform, marking a major step toward redefining warehouse automation. The acquisition combines Skild AI’s “Skild Brain”—a general-purpose, omnibodied AI system capable of operating across different robot types without retraining—with Zebra’s proven orchestration platform. Together, they enable centralized control and coordination of diverse robotic fleets operating in real-world warehouse environments.

Traditionally, warehouse automation has been fragmented, with robots programmed for specific tasks and hardware configurations. Skild AI’s technology removes these limitations by enabling a single AI system to operate humanoids, robotic arms, mobile robots, and other systems seamlessly. The integration of the Symmetry platform allows real-time coordination between robots and human workers, creating a unified, intelligent automation layer.

The combined solution enables logistics operators to deploy end-to-end automation without redesigning warehouse infrastructure. It supports a wide range of applications, including picking, packing, inspection, and material movement, all orchestrated through a single platform.

Deepak Pathak, CEO of Skild AI, stated that the acquisition addresses a fundamental challenge in warehouse automation by eliminating the need for fragmented systems and enabling intelligent coordination between humans and machines. He emphasized that the integration will transform existing warehouses into highly efficient, adaptive environments. Abhinav Gupta, President of Skild AI, added that the combined capabilities will overcome key limitations in automated grasping and manipulation, significantly improving operational efficiency.

Founded in 2023, Skild AI has rapidly scaled its operations, achieving approximately $30 million in revenue within months of launch in 2025. Backed by investors including SoftBank Group, NVIDIA Ventures, and Sequoia Capital, the company is valued at over $14 billion and operates across multiple global locations. With this acquisition, Skild AI aims to accelerate enterprise adoption of robotics by delivering scalable, intelligent, and fully integrated automation solutions for modern warehouses.
