Shree Refrigerations Limited (SRL) is set to enhance its manufacturing efficiency and supply chain resilience with the launch of a new integrated production facility in Karad, Maharashtra. Scheduled for inauguration on June 20, 2026, the facility represents a major investment aimed at accelerating project execution, improving production timelines and increasing self-reliance across its operations.

The newly developed plant spans six acres and adds 50,000 square feet to the company’s manufacturing infrastructure. Designed as a fully integrated engineering and production center, the facility incorporates advanced manufacturing technologies including robotic welding, laser cutting, precision bending, automated painting systems and shot blasting capabilities.

A key objective of the expansion is to strengthen backward integration and reduce reliance on external supplier networks. By bringing a larger share of manufacturing processes under one roof, SRL aims to streamline operations, improve quality control and shorten delivery cycles for highly customized projects.

According to Chairman and Managing Director Ravalnath Gopinath Shende, the company’s immediate focus will be on operational efficiency and supply chain optimization. “The new facility will help us establish a stronger in-house manufacturing ecosystem. By reducing dependence on external vendors and expanding our internal capabilities, we expect to improve production efficiency, minimize logistical challenges and reduce turnaround times,” Mr Shende said.

He added that reducing the time between order confirmation and final delivery remains a critical performance objective, particularly as many of the company’s projects involve customized engineering requirements. Faster execution is expected to enhance customer satisfaction while supporting sustainable business growth.

The expansion follows a period of strong financial and operational performance for SRL. During FY26, the company recorded substantial revenue growth, driven by improved project execution, higher completion rates and the benefits of operating leverage. The company’s second-half performance also reflected significant year-on-year and sequential growth across key business segments.

SRL holds a unique position in the Indian market as the only domestic company registered across all three major naval HVAC&R segments—Chillers and Refrigeration Plants, Turnkey HVAC&R Solutions and Electrical Control Panels. The company also provides heavy fabrication services that support large-scale defence manufacturing programs.

With more than 37 years of engineering experience, SRL continues to expand its role as a technology-driven manufacturer serving defence, marine and industrial sectors. The new Karad facility is expected to play a pivotal role in supporting future growth while reinforcing the company’s commitment to indigenous manufacturing, engineering excellence and long-term value creation.
