Sharika Enterprises Limited has announced the appointment of Mitesh Pant as General Manager, Operations, as the company strengthens its leadership team to support expansion across power transmission, automation and smart grid solutions. Mr Pant joins the organisation with nearly four decades of experience in the power sector, having worked across generation, transmission and distribution projects. His career includes leadership roles with global engineering firms such as GE, AREVA, ALSTOM and Schneider Electric, where he contributed to large-scale infrastructure and control system deployments.
In his new role, Mr Pant will oversee operational functions, focusing on execution, system performance and long-term service delivery. His experience spans the complete lifecycle of power projects, including commissioning, maintenance, upgrades and support services.
A significant portion of his professional background is centred on grid control technologies, particularly Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) platforms. These systems are critical for monitoring and managing power networks, and Pant has been closely involved in both their deployment and post-installation reliability.
During his tenure at GE T&D India, Mr Pant led maintenance and support operations across India and neighbouring markets, managing a large service portfolio and a multi-disciplinary team. He also played a role in Unified Load Dispatch Centre initiatives, contributing to the implementation of advanced grid management systems across multiple regions.
Earlier, he was associated with the development of EMS and SCADA systems for the Northern Region control centre of POWERGRID, a key national infrastructure project. His international exposure includes work on transmission control systems in Europe, adding to his understanding of global practices in grid operations.
Mr Pant began his career with hands-on roles in execution and plant operations, gaining experience across power plants, industrial facilities and infrastructure projects such as metro systems. Over the years, he has worked across both field operations and strategic functions, including building service frameworks and managing long-term contracts.
Sharika Enterprises expects that his addition will strengthen operational capabilities as the company continues to expand its presence in power infrastructure and digital grid technologies. With increasing emphasis on automation and reliability in the energy sector, the company aims to enhance execution efficiency and system performance across its projects.
