Servotech Power Systems Ltd., in partnership with the National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI), has opened Delhi’s first solar-powered EV charging station. Located at the Hauz Khas Village parking station, this project is a key step in promoting green energy and electric vehicle use.
Servotech created, designed, and installed the solar panels and EV chargers for the station. They also developed the overall infrastructure for this pilot project.
German Ambassador to India and Bhutan, Philipp Ackermann, was the chief guest at the inauguration. Other notable attendees included Raman Bhatia, Founder and MD of Servotech, Amarjeet Singh, CEO of BSES Yamuna Power Limited, Chintan Shah, Principal Advisor of NSEFI, and Subrahmanyam Pulipaka, CEO of NSEFI.
This project is a collaboration between NSEFI and Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft e.V (BSW), with support from BSES and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). Funded under the KVP project by the German company Sequa GmbH and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the carport offers a new business model for DISCOMs and businesses. It provides fast charging for two and four-wheelers in under an hour, making it ideal for delivery services in busy urban areas.
