Seco Introduces 335.18 Disc Milling Cutter With Extensive Customisation Options

Seco

Seco has launched the 335.18 disc milling cutter, a versatile slotting solution designed to deliver consistent performance across a wide range of machining conditions. The new cutter is available in more than 70 standard variants and can also be fully tailored using Seco’s MyDesign configuration platform, allowing manufacturers to match tooling precisely to their machines, materials, and applications.

Engineered for demanding environments, the 335.18 disc mill is suited for slotting operations in automotive, aerospace, and general engineering applications. Its smooth-cutting geometry helps reduce vibration, extend tool life, and maintain stability, even in long overhangs or less rigid setups such as robotic machining systems.

The system supports a broad selection of LNKT inserts, multiple corner radii, integrated wiper flats for improved surface finish, and a comprehensive range of grades and geometries. When standard options do not meet specific requirements, MyDesign enables users to configure a custom cutter body and receive a quotation within minutes, streamlining the path from design to production.

Efficiency and durability are central to the 335.18’s design. Double-sided inserts with four cutting edges, combined with high-performance insert grades and a robust Swedish steel cutter body, help reduce tooling costs, minimize changeovers, and support sustainable manufacturing by extending service life and maximizing return on investment.  Founded in Fagersta, Sweden, and operating in more than 75 countries, Seco is a global leader in metal cutting solutions, including milling, turning, holemaking, threading, and tooling systems. For nearly a century, the company has supported manufacturers worldwide with precision technology and dependable machining performance.
